Useful information

Storage

  1. Elements of the system should be stored in dry locations.
  2. Before assembly, the system elements should be stored in original boxes. It is necessary to avoid storing gutters and pipes wrapped in foil for the period exceeding 3 months from the purchase date (difficulties with foil removal may occur after this period).
  3. In case of gutter or pipe loose storage, these items should be protected against sliding and piled up in not more then 4 layers.
  4. Steel is a plastic material, thus all indents will be long-lasting. In such case leakage of the system may occur.

Transport

  1. The cargo must be immobilised.
  2. The cargo must be placed horizontally on a flat and smooth surface.
  3. Manual loading and unloading is recommended.

Maintenance

  1. Gutters shall be regularly cleaned. Leaves and other solid impurities must be removed at least twice a year.
  2. In order to avoid corrosion, potential damages to protective surface shall be cleaned and repaired.
  3. Depending on the needs, upon a dozen, or so, years from its installation the gutter system may be painted.

Standards

Polska Norma PN-EN 612  for gutters, pipes and profiles - May 2006, „Roof gutters made of metal sheets with round reinforced front side rim and overlapped fall pipes”.

Polska Norma PN-EN 1462 - April 2006, „Handles for roof gutters. Requirements and examinations”.

Our own declarations have been confirmed through testing that were carried out by Building Research Institute: testing reports no.: LOW/019.1/2007, LOW/019.2/2007, LOW/108.1/2008, LOW-537.1/2009.

Guarantee

35-year guarantee for Galeco STAL System perforation corrosion resistance is given for the system installations in C1-C3 corrosion class environments, and 15-year guarantee for C4 class as per the following table.

Corrosion Classes

CLASS CORROSIVITY ENVIRONMENT DESCRIPTION
C1

VERY LOW

Heated locations with dry air and insignificant pollution level, e.g. offices, schools and hotels.
C2 LOW Locations with low air pollution level. Non-heated locations with temperature and humidity fluctuations characterised by low frequency condensation and low level of air pollution, e.g. fitness centres, warehouses.
C3 MODERATE Locations in which salt or air pollutions are present at a moderate level. Urban locations, light industry zones and areas that are subject to a certain impact from the waterside. These are locations with moderate humidity and those in which some air pollutants are present such as digester houses, creameries, laundries, etc.
C4 HIGH Locations in which salt or air pollutions are present at a moderate level. Industrial and waterside areas. Locations with air high humidity and high pollution originating from industrial processes, e.g. chemical industry, indoor swimming pools, shipyards.
